LAMP Draws 204 Applicants Across 35 Open Roles as of September 28, as Liberty County Site Builds Operational Workforce

Safety, field operations, and utilities positions are drawing the strongest candidate interest, with 68 applicants currently in active screening.

LIBERTY COUNTY, TX, UNITED STATES, September 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- LAMP, the Liberty Advanced Manufacturing & Power campus under development in Liberty County, Texas, has received 204 applicants across 35 currently posted positions as the site builds out its operational workforce ahead of production.
The openings span seven functions. Operations accounts for the largest share at 15 postings, followed by Engineering with seven, Quality with four, Health, Safety and Environment with three, and one each in Contracts and Human Resources. Four additional general site roles are also posted. Sixty-eight candidates are currently in initial screening.

Interest has concentrated in safety, field operations, and utilities roles. The EHS Technician and Safety Specialist posting has drawn 29 applicants, Process Operator, Field has drawn 26, and Utilities and Wastewater Operator has drawn 20. Instrumentation and Electrical Technician has drawn 13.
That distribution reflects the regional labor market. Liberty County sits within the Gulf Coast industrial corridor, where refining, petrochemical, and energy operations have produced a workforce with directly transferable experience in process operations, utilities, instrumentation, and industrial safety.
The hiring also reflects a shift in the phase of work at the campus. Construction roles at industrial sites are temporary by design. Operations, engineering, quality, and safety positions are the beginning of a permanent workforce.

Filling them ahead of production is deliberate. Operators and technicians hired before startup learn the systems as they are commissioned rather than after they are running, and safety practice is established while there is time to build it properly. The alternative, staffing a plant once equipment is live, compresses training into the period when a site can least afford the disruption.

LAMP intends to fill positions locally where qualifications align, and posting roles in advance gives regional training programs, community college pathways, and trade partnerships time to respond.
